Photography can sometimes feel like a lonely journey. We spend our days capturing other people's milestones, but how often do we stop and celebrate our own? The TCR Awards are our opportunity to shine a spotlight on the talented, passionate and inspiring women within our community.

Whether you've been in business for years or you're just beginning your journey, these awards are about recognising the creativity, dedication and heart that goes into being a photographer.

AWARDS EVENING

After three days of learning, creativity and connection, we come together for one final celebration. A chance to dress up, celebrate together and recognise the incredible achievements within our community.

The award title will be 'The peoples choice award for best (category) photographer of the year'. And you'll receive a physical certificate up on stage. Categories will be:

AWARDS JUDGING

The TCR Awards are a chance to celebrate the incredible talent, creativity and passion within our community. They are not about who has the biggest following, the most expensive equipment or the most years in business.

Unlike traditional photography competitions, the TCR Awards are not judged by a panel of industry experts. Instead, they are voted for anonymously by your fellow attendees - the women who spend the retreat alongside you, see your creativity, hear your story and understand the journey behind your business.

The awards are not judged on technical skill, posing, lighting or perfect execution. There is no scoring system based on rules or industry expectations. Instead, they are simply about the images that people love.

The photographs that make someone stop scrolling.
The moments that tell a story.
The images that create an emotional connection.

Because photography is about so much more than technical perfection - it's about how an image makes someone feel.

Before the event, attendees will submit their votes for their favourite image in each category. Voting is completely anonymous, and the image with the most votes in each category will be crowned the winner.

Because who better to recognise the images that connect than the people who truly understand them?

AWARDS AFTER PARTY

Once the awards have been presented and the winners have been celebrated, it's time to let your hair down and enjoy one final night together.

The TCR Awards After Party is your chance to swap the conversations and creativity of the day for music, dancing and memories that will last long after the retreat ends.

With a DJ, dance floor and a room full of incredible women celebrating together, expect great music, lots of laughs and a room full of new friends celebrating each other's achievements.

After three days of learning, creating and connecting, it's the perfect way to finish TCR 2027 - with new friendships, happy memories and maybe a few questionable dance moves along the way.

Your votes are based solely on the image submitted, not who created it. The photographer's name, following or reputation has no influence - only the image itself.
